Welcome to PV Point. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, enquiries, quotes, and the purchase of solar and renewable energy systems from us. By accessing our website or entering into a contract with PV Point, you agree to the following terms.

PV Point is committed to complying with the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) and the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Quotes and System Information
- All quotes will include:
- Itemised equipment list (manufacturer, model, quantity, specifications)
- Performance estimate and expected output
- Site-specific installation design (where required)
- Total price including GST, deposits, incentives, and rebates
- Any applicable exclusions or limitations (e.g. meter replacement fees, site-specific conditions)
- Quotes remain valid for 10 business days unless otherwise stated.
3. Contracts
- If you accept a quote, we will issue a written contract based on the Pylon Solar Sales Contract template.
- Contracts will clearly set out:
- System specifications and inclusions
- Payment schedule and milestones
- Warranty rights under Australian Consumer Law and additional contractual warranties
- Cooling-off rights (10 business days for unsolicited sales under ACL)
- Contracts may be signed electronically or physically.
4. Payment Terms
- Deposits and milestone payments will be outlined in your contract.
- Payments must be made within 15 business days of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
- Receipts will be issued for all payments.
- Where deferred payment arrangements are offered, these will comply with NETCC and credit law.
5. Delivery & Installation
- PV Point will arrange installation within the timeframe stated in your contract.
- Installation will be carried out by Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA)–accredited electricians (previously CEC-accredited).
- Work will comply with Australian Standards, safety laws, and manufacturer specifications.
- Delays outside our control (weather, approvals, supply issues) may affect timelines.
6. Grid Connection & Approvals
- PV Point will apply for grid connection approval on your behalf unless otherwise agreed.
- If grid connection approval is refused, you will be entitled to a full refund.
- You are responsible for other approvals (such as strata or council) unless agreed otherwise.
7. Warranties
- PV Point provides a 5-year retailer warranty on the operation and performance of the system, including workmanship and products.
- Manufacturer warranties apply in addition to this retailer warranty.
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.
8. Complaints Handling
- If you have a complaint, you may contact us via phone, email, or post.
- PV Point will:
- Acknowledge complaints promptly as soon as possible.
- Provide an outcome or update within 15 business days.
- Resolve complaints in accordance with AS ISO 10002-2006 and NETCC
- If you are unsatisfied, you may escalate your complaint to:
- WA Consumer Protection (1300 304 054)
- The Energy & Water Ombudsman (if applicable)
- NETCC Administrator.
9. Privacy
- PV Point will only collect and use your personal information in accordance with Australian privacy law.
- Your information will only be used for providing services, warranties, or communication, unless you consent otherwise.
10. Termination & Refunds
You may terminate your contract and receive a refund if:
- Grid connection approval is refused
- The final design differs significantly from what was quoted and you do not approve
- We fail to meet agreed installation timeframes for reasons within our control
- Additional unexpected costs arise which you do not consent to
Cooling-off rights under the ACL apply to unsolicited sales. Reasonable cancellation fees may apply outside these rights, but only if disclosed in your contract.
11. Liability
- PV Point is not liable for:
- Issues arising from site conditions outside our control (e.g. roof structural defects, existing electrical faults)
- Impacts on third-party warranties (e.g. roof manufacturer’s warranties)
- Changes to electricity tariffs or metering arrangements
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
